Let us face it. Sometimes, it is almost impossible to maintain a healthy diet. Those cheesy and meaty pizza, mouth watery steak, and delectable ice cream and cakes are just too tempting to take no notice. In fact, as I write this article, I am starting to crave for my all-time favorite chocolate walnut frozen cake. However, if we give in to our sinful cravings, time will come that our health will be at stake. So in order to help you out, I have listed below some foods that are naturally healthy.

·         Fruits. Fruits are popular healthy food as it is rich in many essential nutrients including vitamins, fiber, potassium, and many more. Generally, fruits are known to help reduce the risk of chronic diseases. People suffering from diabetes, hypertension, health ailments and cancers are often prescribed with certain fruit diets. (Please consult your doctor for specific fruits for certain health conditions.) Fruits are also known to help maintain weight and reduce the risk of obesity. For other people like me, fruits are important to maintain appetite.

·         Vegetables. Most vegetables are naturally low in calories and fats. They are also good sources of so many nutrients like fiber, vitamins, potassium, and folate among others. Just like fruits, vegetables are popular for maintaining a healthy body and reducing the risks of chronic diseases.
 

·         Whole grains. Health experts and medical professionals are one in saying that whole grains are a healthy food to reduce the risk of some chronic diseases. It contains good nutrients like fiber, vitamins, folate, thiamin, niacin, and many minerals.

·         Fish and other seafoods. Compared to meat, seafoods are generally healthier. Salmons are a good source of protein, Omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin D. Other healthy choices are sardines, shellfish, shrimp, trout, and tuna.
